Join engineer, timber framer, and boat builder Grigg Mullen in this weekend workshop to learn the art of marquetry or wood veneer design. This class will cover the basic techniques, proper tool usage, and design of marquetry which you will be able to apply to home woodworking projects. For this session, we will be making a couple of simple test pieces followed by a compass rose. A sharp marking knife and chisels will be useful if you have them, but some will be available. Sharpening help will be provided.
